The City of Carlsbad is moving away from single-use & disposable products with high environmental impact, such as plastic straws, stirrers, cutlery, plastic bags & styrofoam to-go containers, in order to protect our environment and keep our beaches and oceans clean. To help restaurants and related businesses that serve food and beverages in Carlsbad align with this environmental mission and benefit from doing so, the City of Carlsbad's Sustainable Materials Management Division sponsored and supported the design, development and creation of free multi media educational and training resources.
These resources contain best industry practices, strategies and approaches for reducing & eliminating single use disposable products with high environmental impact and replacing them with sustainable alternatives where needed & possible. Carlsbad restaurants are invited to use these resources for free! |
